From Unused Room to Inviting Office Space
Work from home doesn’t have to feel like work.
With remote working on the rise, people who work from home need a comfortable, dedicated space to focus. My clients for this project had a boring, boxy room in their house that wasn’t being used. Now that they’re spending more time at home, they wanted to turn it into a functional and inviting office space to support their lifestyle.
But this was more than just tucking a desk into a corner of the room – my clients wanted the room to be a welcoming space for the two of them to be close while he works and she relaxes nearby.
We began by arranging a new desk area to be the built-in focal point of the room. The large desk and shelving layout provided ample space for him to work, with plenty of additional storage to hide his printer and books when he closed his computer for the day.
On the other side of the room, we incorporated a comfortable chair and stylish floor lamp for her to relax and quietly read a book while he works.
The end result was an inviting, magazine-worthy office space that offered a relaxing environment for both of them to spend time together during the day. My clients are absolutely thrilled to have this beautiful new space in their home.
